Dance pro Alan Bersten has a message for all of the fans hoping that he and his Dancing With the Stars partner Hannah Brown are dating: "Keep hoping."

Although the news may be disappointing for some fans who wanted to see the Mirrorball-winning duo end up together, Bersten says that he and the former Bachelorette are still good friends. They've stayed in touch post-Dancing With the Stars and have even hung out a number of times — including an adorable pizza date In December 2019.

"We were friends during the season and now that there’s not this huge stress of trying to learn a dance, we remain friends and we enjoy each other’s company," Bersten said. "But I’m on tour right now and she’s going to be coming on tour in a while, so we still talk as much as we can, but yes, we will definitely be friends."

Bersten said he's really looking forward to reuniting with Brown on tour where they'll get to dance together once again following their win late last year.

"It is like icing on the cake," Bersten said. "Being able to go on the journey with Hannah and winning the show with her is something that I could not even dream of, but now that we get to go and perform to the fans that voted for us every week and kind of say thank you to them, it feels so special."

Fans coming out to the tour can expect a jam-packed night filled with their favorite dances from the show, as well as a few new numbers.

"It’s been honestly my favorite show we’ve ever done," Bersten said.

As for what dances he and Brown will be performing, Bersten said that fans can definitely expect to see their iconic Viennese Waltz set to Taylor Swift's "Lover" — a routine that earned them a shout out from the pop singer herself.

"We’re also going to do the Paso Doble to 'I Love It' which, in my opinion, was her first breakout dance and it really showed a different side of her so I’m really glad we get to do that," Bersten said.

And even though while they're on tour Bersten and the other dance pros don't have to worry about being voted off the show each week, they can't help but having a little ongoing friendly competition. He explained they bring a ping pong table with them on the road and have a mini tournament going.

"It’s me and Gleb versus Val and Brandon and at the current moment I don’t want to brag but me and Gleb won yesterday," Bersten said.
