You may think your dingy tile and grout is beyond hope, but with the right products and a little scrubbing, you can easily renew and refresh your grimy grout. Just use this cleaning routine from Michael Dimopoulos, a Thumbtack House Cleaner and the founder of Lazy Susans Cleaning to spring clean your floors and bathroom.

  1. First sprinkle a medium to generous amount of Bon Ami, or a similar cleaning powder, over the surface making sure the powder covers all the grout.

  2. Spray the surface with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water.

  3. Dip a cleaning brush in water and then scrub the surface. The powder, spray solution, and water will combine to make a paste. Let this paste sit on the surface for 5-10 minutes.

  4. Rise and wipe down the surface.

If your tile needs further whitening, spray the tile and grout with Rejuvenate's Tile and Grout Everyday Cleaner. Ensure the solution has evenly coated the surface by spreading with a mop or cloth, and let the solution dry. Once it has dried, rinse the grout and wipe it down.
