A favourite member of the Carter clan is back, plus Kush heads to court and Keegan makes a big impression – it’s your full spoiler-filled guide to the week ahead on EastEnders 12-16 April, 2021.
Nancy Carter returns
I’m sure we’re all relieved to see the Carters reinstalled behind the bar of the Queen Vic. And it’s heartening too that Mick’s family man credentials have been reaffirmed, what with him having been revealed to be Frankie’s real dad. But there’s trouble on the horizon when, on her birthday, Frankie receives a card from her mum Katy containing a cheque for £2,000. Angered by the gift, Frankie throws it in the bin, insisting that she won’t be bribed.
But a further shock – for Mick at least – is to come on Tuesday when his other daughter Nancy walks through the doors of the pub. It’s an extremely welcome return for viewers, though don’t expect Nancy to be accompanied by husband Tamwar (actor Himesh Patel has, of course, moved on to the likes of Yesterday and The Luminaries).

Rather, I suspect the focus will be on how Nancy reacts to this new half-sister whose existence has only just come to light.
Kush makes his plea
Kush may be planning a surprise wedding to Whitney but the fact that he’s accepting Phil’s extra charges means he won’t be getting that happy ever after anytime soon. In fact, a secretly gleeful Gray is quick to tell him that he’ll be behind bars for a very long time. And when Whitney finds out about the deal Kush has made, she vents her fury about his actions.

Events then accelerate on Thursday when Kush heads to court, with his every move being observed by the Mitchells, who are heaping pressure on him to say the right thing in the dock. But after making his plea, Kush looks set to take drastic action. But what does he have planned?
Karen gets desperate
Having been told that her future at the launderette is in doubt, Karen is panicking about having no income. A job hunt meets with little success and then comes the unwelcome news that she’s losing some of her benefits now that the boys are no longer with her.
Launderette owner Apostolos then arranges to meet with her at Walford East, but before he has a chance to explain a proposition he has in mind, Karen lets rip. And seeing as she’s not exactly shy when it comes to voicing her opinion (see the recent episode in which she spoke out against Covid vaccinations for further details), we shouldn’t expect Apostolos to get much of a word in.
Keegan’s naked attraction
But at least there’s one member of Karen’s family who’s doing OK for himself. And I’m speaking here of Keegan, who’s live streaming the goings-on at his market stall to a new social media page. And pretty soon, there’s a queue of young women standing in line on Bridge Street to sample his wares.
The reason for the attention soon becomes clear, though, when Tiff realises that she started the live stream early, which meant that Keegan was caught on camera naked changing his clothes following a spill. Saucy behaviour – in every sense, then…
