Elizabeth Hurley rocks a bikini as she stretches in the sun ahead of her 56th birthday

Elizabeth Hurley is here for the summer weather.

The British actress, who turns 56 on June 10, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a joyous video of herself soaking up the summer weather in the English countryside.

Sporting the "Harper" bikini from her swimwear line, Elizabeth Hurley Beach, a smiling Hurley stretched her arms to the sky and declared "Ahhhhh!" before she blew a kiss with both hopssands for the camera. She captioned the video "Bliss."

Clearly, Hurley knows a thing or two about working it in front of the camera. On Saturday, she posted a throwback photo of her first-ever swimsuit shoot in honor of famous photographer Steven Meisel, who turned 67 on Saturday.

"Happy birthday to the glorious Steven Meisel," Hurley wrote, Yahoo Life previously reported. "This was my first bikini shoot ever and, boy, was I nervous." In the photo, Hurley wore a red two-piece bathing suit with a white outline as she slumped down in a chair, her wet hair slicked back.

Hurley's bikini-filled Instagram posts have been a mainstay during the pandemic, particularly since the actress has to publicize her own swimwear line. But during the lockdown period, Hurley was unable to travel to exotic locales to show off her luxurious creations.

"I have my own swimwear line. I wouldn’t ordinarily be prancing around in quite so much beachwear, so there is a reason behind prancing around in so many swimsuits," Hurley told Extra! during the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Virtual Hot Pink Evening last month, Yahoo Life previously reported.

As a result, Hurley had to get a little creative to get her brand the attention it needed.

“It's been very difficult because we haven’t been allowed to go on vacation for 14 months, same as everybody else. And I have a beachwear company and haven’t been on the beach. So it has been challenging," said Hurley. "Hence, we have been using what we can. We’ve been improvising. So, yes, we’ve been on hay bales, we’ve been in the snow, we’ve been in the shower.”

Of course, Hurley's self-confidence didn't go over well with everyone. Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan called Hurley's photos “creepy," and questioned whether her son Damien took the photos.

In response, Hurley took took Twitter to subtly take a swing at Morgan and her detractors.

“Far be it for me to suggest the tabloids get their facts muddled, but these pics were in fact taken by my 80-year-old mother,” Hurley tweeted back in January. "Not entirely sure if that puts minds at rest or not.”
