Eminem celebrates 11 years of sobriety on social media
Eminem never has been one to care what others think, but his struggle to get and stay sober, has inspired many others to speak out about their own addiction issues. Today, he showed the world his sobriety coin, by posting images on both Twitter and Instagram, with the strong and simple caption.
“11 years – still not afraid.”

The post, which has already had over 21.7m likes on Instagram, is not the first time the musician has taken to social media to record his sober anniversary.
The rapper celebrated a decade of sobriety last year, with a similarly unostentatious post.
Fans rallied to celebrate the rapper’s achievement, many calling him a legend or sharing similar stories of fighting addiction.

Orange is the New Black actress Taryn Manning commented, “Rad dude! Teach me your ways. The most admiration. You did it! And can still write like a fkn beast! Proud!”
Earlier this year, Eminem talked about the expectations around him when he started out and how he has changed as both a person and a performer.
“I had a lot of rage,” he said. “When people say they miss the old Eminem, I feel like it’s probably that. You miss the rage. I don’t have the rage anymore that I used to have but I still have the exact same passion.”
That same anger, has seen him fall out with a number of high-profile musicians including Moby and Mariah Carey over the years.
