Emmerdale's Leyla left worried by Suzy's big decision

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Leyla Cavanagh struggles with selfish thoughts next week after Suzy Merton vows to start living a cleaner lifestyle.

The ITV soap recently revealed that Leyla and Suzy have been taking drugs together, which nobody else in the village currently knows.

In next week's episodes, the story takes a turn when Suzy starts to reconsider her recent behaviour.

The drama starts when Leyla tells Vanessa Woodfield that Suzy once knew Moira's late daughter Holly, who died from a drug overdose in 2016.

Vanessa is confused by this and questions her relationship, fearing that it can't be very serious if Suzy is prepared to keep secrets.

As Suzy can't tell Vanessa the full story about Holly's death, she feels guilty and starts to fear that Vanessa is better off without her.

Suzy tries to end things, but Vanessa regrets coming on so strong and ultimately convinces her to stay.

Later, Suzy confides in Leyla about how she'll be staying off the drugs from now on.

This privately worries Leyla, who fears that she'll no longer be able to get regular fixes if Suzy is no longer interested.

Leyla turns manipulative by inviting Suzy and Priya Kotecha to join her for brunch and a team-building exercise.

Suzy suspects that Leyla is trying to tempt her to take drugs again, so she reiterates that she'll be staying off cocaine.

Suzy tells Leyla that it might be wise for them to both quit while they're ahead, so she tips her remaining supply down the sink.

Will Leyla see sense too, or is she already too far gone?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
