Everlane is using the shopping event of the year as an opportunity to give back.
In 2014, Everlane began the Black Friday Fund in an effort to balance the impact of consumption typically associated with the popular shopping weekend. In just under five years, the company will have donated over $1,000,000 US to worthy causes to build and install solar panels and hydroponic farms at affiliate factories well as help organize beach clean-ups to remove 20,000 pounds of plastic from coastal areas.

To celebrate Black Friday, the sustainable fashion brand is celebrating by donating a portion of all sales to Oceana, to help get reduce plastic pollution.
“The world has a plastic waste problem,” Everlane said in a press release. “Global plastic production is currently projected to double by 2030 (and quadruple by 2050). We can’t recycle our way out of this. It’s time to stop plastic at its source - with direct policy action.”
On Friday, Nov. 29, the brand will donate $10 from each sale to Oceana until they reach their donation goal of $300,000. According to the brand, the fund raised will be enough to support a full year of campaign work for Oceana to end single-use plastic in three major voting markets.

In addition to a worthy cause, Everlane shoppers will also enjoy free two-day shipping on all U.S orders, as well as free express shipping on international orders over $100 USD (some exclusions apply).
