Everything We Know About Netflix's Martha Stewart Documentary

No matter how much we learn about Martha Stewart's life—her Bedford home, her friendship with Snoop Dogg, her skincare routine, and even the necklaces worn by her French bulldogs (Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, to be clear)—we always want more. And so does everyone else. Netflix recently acquired the rights to a documentary of the media maven's life, directed by Oscar-nominated R.J. Cutler, who also made Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry with Apple TV+.
While the release date has not been set and details have yet to be released, the documentary is expected to follow Stewart's larger-than-life story. Even before she was queen of all things domestic, her life was still exceptionally interesting. Growing up in Jersey City, Stewart babysat for famed New York Yankees players Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra, before going on to model for fashion brands like Chanel while she was a student at Barnard College. Then, she went on to become a stockbroker for a boutique firm and later launched her catering business from her own home. Alan Mirken, one of her husband's publishing friends, met Stewart at a party and commissioned her first cookbook. Now, Stewart has written 98 books (and counting) and has become a multimedia mogul worth over $400 million—and we haven't even mentioned her jail time yet.
