Everything worth coveting from Target's new in-house brands

Target, after announcing the discontinuation of its lines including Mossimo and Merona, has unveiled three new in-house brands: A New Day (women’s wear), Goodfellow & Co. (menswear), and Project 62 (home). These are the first three lines to debut among more than a dozen new Target rollouts expected within the next 18 months.

A New Day

Kind of a three-way marriage between J.Crew, Ann Taylor, and Loft, this new women’s wear line consists of a wide range of apparel tailor made for shoppers of all ages, from the young burgeoning fashionista to the stylish professional. Fashion-forward threads include pinstriped blouses with statement sleeves, a houndstooth suit, and a classic trench coat.

Price range: $10 to $45

Sizes: 0-16, XS-XXL, with many pieces available in plus-size ranging XS-4X and 14W-26W in select stores and online

Goodfellow & Co.

Say hello to this new stylish, affordable menswear brand, offering casual basics like striped henley and chambray shirts as well as more professional attire, such as oxford shirting, cardigans, and brogues that you can wear day to night.

Price range: $8 to $50

Sizes: Standard, tall, big, and big and tall

Project 62

Now, like West Elm and CB2, Target is where you’ll find all of your affordably dreamy, mid-century furniture. Brass and marble lamps are among the must-haves, along with Danish-style accent chairs, minimalistic dinner plates, and Instagram-worthy cheese boards. There will be more than 1,200 pieces that are part of the collection.

Price range: $3 to $700

The women’s and men’s collections will begin to roll out mid-August, while the home collection will launch on Sept. 19.
