Expect To See Much More Of Jonathan Bailey And Simone Ashley In 'Bridgerton' Season 4
Bridgerton fans, listen up! Simone Ashley, who plays Kate Sharma in the Regency romp, has confirmed that audiences can expect to see much more of her and Jonathan Bailey's character, her on-screen husband Anthony Bridgerton, in the upcoming fourth season.
'Kate and Anthony are really special characters and I think what drew me and Jonathan to their relationship is how complex it is and how beautiful it is. I think there's always going to be something to love,' Ashley told People.

The actor added that she has high hopes for her costar Luke Thompson, whose character Benedict's love life is the focus of season four. 'He's just amazing. I love Luke, he's just the kindest guy. He's always been so welcoming when I was new on the show and just so sweet to me, just a really wonderful person,' she said.
Bridgerton's fourth outing, which will trace the story of Benedict Bridgerton and will be based on the events of Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, An Offer From a Gentleman, will feature Australian actor Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek, Benedict's love interest. The fourth season will see second-born son Benedict (Luke Thompson) searching for a 'lady in silver' he meets at a masquerade ball, who turns out to be Sophie.
'What's striking about season four is that it's the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale,' Thompson told Netflix's Tudum in September. 'The romance of it, and the actual reality of the world.'
Along with a statement teasing a first look at Ha and Thompson together on-set, Netflix also released a brief synopsis of the fourth season. 'The new season will focus on the second Bridgerton son, Benedict and his quest to find the mesmerising Lady in Silver, Sophie Baek,' the streaming service noted.
Per the official logline of the upcoming series, 'The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.'
Season three of Bridgerton, which was based on the fourth book in Quinn's series, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, ended with Benedict having a threesome with his new love interest Lady Tilley Arnold (Hannah New) and her friend Paul (Lucas Aurelio), after encouragement from Tilley to be more sexually adventurous. But when Tilley decided that she'd prefer to return to monogamy, Benedict ended their frisson, deciding that he's not quite ready to settle down.
'Benedict has always been a little lost — or free depending on the way you want to look at it. But now he’s trying to find something a bit more solid in himself,' Thompson told Netflix's Tudum in July 2024 ahead of Netflix's confirmation of him as the season four lead.
