Fans Are Calling Out Jada Pinkett Smith for "Embarrassing" Will Smith — Again

While Gwyneth Paltrow was the guest of honor on the latest episode of Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith came under fire from some fans that thought that she was taking another opportunity to embarrass her husband, Will. As one does, Smith spoke to Paltrow about sex when she took a seat at the red table and, well, the spice seemed to be a little too much for Will's die-hard fans.

"You also brought something up that I think is supremely, supremely important and that is the idea of accountability," Smith said. "That we have to be able to speak up when things aren't going well, when things are going well, but that level of accountability that actually bleeds through our entire life." That reminded viewers of the "entanglement" episode with singer August Alsina that made headlines back in 2020.

Jada went on to tell Paltrow how she and Will navigate intimacy in their marriage, saying that it wasn't as smooth or easy as either of them thought it would be.

"I mean, the thing Will and I talk about a lot is the journey. We started in this at a very young age, you know, 22 years old," she said. "That's why the accountability part really hit for me because I think you expect your partner to know [what you need], especially when it comes to sex. It's like, 'Well if you love me, you should know. If you love me, you should read my mind.' That's a huge pitfall!"

Twitter users might have forgotten what Paltrow's all about, because responses came flooding in implying that Jada was oversharing or going out of her way to call Will out. Maybe they need to check out the new Goop show to get a taste of exactly what happens with Paltrow comes around for a talk?

According to Yahoo, other responses included "Why is that our business" and "Why she be playing with Will like this."

Jada went on to clarify exactly what she meant, telling her followers that she and her husband are just fine, thank you.

As for Will, he told GQ that he was well aware of what he was getting into when he married Jada, noting that they were navigating a non-conventional, non-monogamous relationship together.

"Jada never believed in conventional marriage," Will said. "Jada had family members that had an unconventional relationship. So she grew up in a way that was very different than how I grew up. There were significant endless discussions about, what is relational perfection? What is the perfect way to interact as a couple? And for the large part of our relationship, monogamy was what we chose, not thinking of monogamy as the only relational perfection."
