- Television host Wendy William remains on indefinite leave from The Wendy Williams Show.
- To help keep the show going, a slew of guest hosts have filled in for Wendy.
- There's one guest host in particular people are thrilled with: Keke Plamer.
Wendy Williams’ return to The Wendy Williams Show continues to be up in the air, but it's safe to say that it doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon. Viewers have held on for almost two months for the Queen of Tea’s return, and while the long wait continues, fans may have found a new host who makes the show feel like old times.
On Friday, February 8, actress Keke Palmer took a seat in Wendy’s purple chair and spoke candidly about the latest Hot Topics, and viewers loved every second of her. The 25-year-old made the audience laugh and nod along with her as she talked about everything from Justin Bieber's marriage to P. Diddy's dance parties.
"Keke Palmer has got it! I can see her as host if Wendy doesn’t come back," one person tweeted. "Keke did a phenomenal job, I’m really impressed with her guest hosting,” said another. Despite the positive feedback, fans still wished the iconic original host was back to claim her throne. "Have to say Keke did a great job. She seemed to really enjoy it. We still miss Wendy. Come back Wendy,” a viewer wrote.
The 54-year-old personality has been battling a series of medical emergencies that began on Thursday, December 20.
Her original break was extended an additional week after she suffered a shoulder injury, but days before her scheduled comeback, Wendy announced she hadn't fully healed. Afterwards, Wendy was hospitalized and was being monitored closely by doctors for Graves’ disease complications, officially making her return indefinite.
Although we're 100% sure Wendy will be making a comeback, we doubt Keke would take on her role full time even if Wendy did decide to step down. Keke is mega talented and has so much going on. Plus, while we love Keke, we only want to say "How You Doin'?" to the one and only Wendy.
