Fan decodes potential hidden message in Kylie Jenner's Instagram post: 'I've cracked it'

Is one of the Jenner sisters coming out with a tequila brand? One TikToker certainly seems to think so — and the evidence to back her theory up is pretty convincing.

Recently, TikTok user Hannah Farrell uploaded a series of videos explaining why she believes that either Kendall or Kylie Jenner is launching a tequila brand called 818 Añejo Tequila. The sisters recently took a trip to Mexico with their friend Stassie Karanikolaou and were spotted with a bottle of the liquor — but, according to Google, the brand doesn’t seem to exist.

That’s where Farrell’s expert-level sleuth skills come in. In her most viral video posted on Jan. 22, she explained that she became suspicious about a possible new business venture when Kylie said on her Instagram story back in April 2020 that she was “on some new s***” while pointing to a glass of tequila.

“What is this new s***?” Farrell asked. She then noticed a bottle of 818 Añejo Tequila in the background of one of Kendall’s photos and realized that “this tequila doesn’t exist.”

“I’ve looked into this tequila. I think this is Kylie’s new tequila that she’s gonna bring out,” she said. “Call me any time Kris.”

TikTok users rushed to the comments to praise Farrell for her masterful detective work and provide some tips of their own.

“818 is the area code for Calabasas!” one person pointed out, referring to the city where the Kardashian-Jenners live.

“Maybe that’s why they went to Jalisco. It’s the city of the production process of tequila here in Mexico,” another added.

“MA’AM YOU ARE A GENIUS,” a third commented.

With the help of some other internet detectives, Farrell has been able to find many more breadcrumbs that the Kardashian-Jenner sisters seem to have been leaving for fans about the tequila brand for a while now.

On Oct. 30, for instance, Khloe Kardashian posted a photo with sisters Kourtney, Kim and Kendall and called Kendall “the tequila queen.”

“I don’t wanna start another sister fight, so whoever’s it is, I’m here for it,” Farrell said.

More recently, on Jan. 23, Kylie posted a photo of a plate of grapefruit wedges and tequila shots and actually tagged the 818 Instagram page, which made its first post on Feb. 9. Not long after on Jan 29., Karanikolaou posted a photo lounging by the pool in which a bottle of 818 Añejo Tequila is visible in the background. Kendall posted a similar photo to her Instagram on Jan. 20.

Though even Farrell isn’t sure at this point which Jenner sister is behind the tequila brand, she feels almost certain that there is at least some relation to the family. At the time of writing, the brand’s official Instagram page only follows two accounts: 1% for the Planet, and Farrell. Both Kendall and Kylie have also liked at least one of Farrell’s videos about the tequila, which seems to imply that she’s on to something.

What Farrell does know is that there is a company called K & Soda that was registered in Los Angeles. Apparently, they are licensed to carry 818 Tequila Añejo and 818 Tequila Blanco. Farrell believes that the K & S in “soda” might be short for Stassie and either Kendall or Kylie.
