Fans Knew Who The Leopard From 'The Masked Singer' Was The Whole Time

For many of the contestants, after a few weeks of performances, their identities on The Masked Singer have become clearer. But the Leopard confused the judges for a long time. However, fans were on the right track for most of the show.

Who Is the Leopard on The Masked Singer?

On the Dec. 11 episode, the Leopard was revealed to be singer Seal of "Kiss From a Rose" fame. (Leopard seals are a type of seal, which makes his costume that much more obvious of a clue.) In the end, judges Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger guessed Seal, but it was a long and winding road that took them to that speculation.

After seeing the Leopard's initial clue package and hearing the Leopard sing, The judges guessed stars like Pose star Billy Porter, UK singer Robbie Williams, and actor Jamie Foxx. As the weeks went by, other guesses included Jeff Goldblum (thank Ken Jeong for that one), RuPaul, and Eric Benet. For a long time, fans were also on the RuPaul track.

One of the clues fans latched onto was RuPaul's own love for Leopard print.

But even though some of the clues did point to RuPaul, even more pointed towards Seal. The Leopard spoke with a British accent just like the London-born Seal. Additionally, Seal is an ambassador for camera company Leica, which would give weight to the physical clue — a camera — that was shared on Nov. 13.

But it was the Dec. 10 episode, where the Leopard's pre-performance package featured two men, referred to as guards, competing in a faux tennis match sponsored by tofu, that sealed the deal. (Yes, pun intended.) The guards may have been a reference to the rumor that Seal's ex Heidi Klum cheated on him with her security guard. As for the tennis match, Seal competed in the 2019 Chris Evert pro-celebrity tennis classic (Oh, and he's also known for being meat-free.) Additionally, the Leopard mentioned not wanting to be known for their famous marriage — and, let's be honest, Seal is pretty well-known among younger audiences for being Klum's ex.

The Dec. 11 episode had even more clues that pointed to Seal. In the clue package, he held a snowboard, perhaps in a reference to the time he fell down a ski hill while filming his kids. Finally, his gift clue was housing plans, a reference to Seal's degree in architecture.

The clues all piled up until fans had no choice but to guess Seal. Congratulations to everyone who got this one right!
