Fans unimpressed by pic of Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner announcing perfume launch date
Mark August 23rd in your diary if you’re a Kardashian fan. It’s the day Kim and Kylie Jenner will launch their new fragrance on the world.
Kardashian took to Instagram last night to announce the news, posting a picture of the two sisters holding lip-shaped perfume bottles and posing for the camera.
“You thought we forgot about you??” she wrote. “KKW X KYLIE perfume coming August 23rd!!!! Check the @kkwfragrance page for more details 💋💋💋”

Kim’s post currently has over 2 million likes. But while fans were excited by the news, they weren’t so keen on the photo that accompanied the announcement. In the picture, Kylie Jenner is gesturing with her middle finger towards the camera.
Some commenters were disappointed by her decision to flip them the bird. One fan wrote, “Please be better examples girls. I believe you can do better. Really. So many look up to you,” with another adding, “What a shame. Middle finger.”
But others suggested that it would actually influence whether they purchased the yet-to-be-released fragrance.
One Instagrammer, @johannazucaro, said, “Who are you giving the middle finger too?! the followers who’ve made you a billionaire?! no thanks...totally disappointed. and won’t be purchasing because of this.”
While another, @Ashall2451, made her stance clear by voting with her wallet. “Nice pic for the little girls to see, nice image for the little girls who buy Kendall and Kylie products. I will be canceling my order I just made for my little girl.”
The pose is one that Jenner followers will be used to seeing. The youngest member of the Kardashian clan did something similar when she turned 21 last August.

The sisters have collaborated before on cosmetics, but this will be their first foray together into the world of fragrance, releasing the perfume as a KKW x Kylie product. When was first announced it was to be called Kylie Jenner By KKW Fragrance.
Beauty website TrendMood released more info about the mystery fragrance on their Instagram around the same time, with the caption “We have a date!!!!”
Kylie is yet to post anything about the launch on her Instagram, nor is there any news on the KKW Fragrance Instagram or website.
