From Town & Country

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's season two finale hardly tied the show up in a bow. Fans were left high and dry for a full year, wondering if Midge had really called it quits with Benjamin, or if she was about to get together with her ex—until now, that is. With a full new season dropping tomorrow on Amazon Prime Video, Maisel devotees are champing at the bit to find out what happens next.

Here, we've gathered a short list of our most pressing questions for season three. Hopefully, by the end of this new batch of episodes, fans will have some answers.

How will Midge break the news to Benjamin?

After agreeing to go on tour in Europe, Midge learns that her father has, at long last, decided her new beau Benjamin is marriage material. We don't see her confront Benjamin with the news; instead, she runs straight into Joel's arms, proclaiming that she'll always be alone (if with him for that night). So how will Midge actually tell Benjamin that she's breaking it off? And why didn't she bother to ask him if he'd be okay with the trip, before deciding it's over? He does seem pretty unconventional for the 1950s, after all.

When Susie breaks it to Midge that's she's managing Sophie Lennon, how will she take it?

My guess is not well. Not only is Lennon Midge's sworn comedic enemy, but Midge is used to having Susie all to herself. There could, however, be a silver lining: Midge might finally learn to fend for herself, instead of relying on her family and Susie.

What exactly is Abe up to?

Maisel's first season sets up Abe's career as an overwhelming success, just to take all it away from him in season two. Frustrated and humiliated by Bell Labs (and the U.S. government), Abe wants to return to his activist roots. We see him meet with a revolution-minded lawyer in the finale—just how far does Abe want to take this?

How will Rose handle Abe's life-upending career change?

When Abe informs his wife that he's quitting his plumb professorship at Columbia (an altogether unnecessary move, given that he's been asked to stop working while remaining tenured), she quickly points out a key issue: Columbia owns their apartment. If Abe is serious—and its seems that he is—he and Rose are going to have to adjust to a far less glamorous lifestyle. Rose proved that she could handle the bohemian life in Paris, but how will she cope stateside?

Will Joel try to find someone new?

Since dumping Penny, his once-mistress, Joel has been with plenty of women—but none of them close to serious. He clearly regrets leaving his wife in the first place, often complaining to his friends that he really screwed up. And Midge's one-night-only proposal in the finale certainly isn't helping him get over her. In season three, maybe we'll finally learn if Midge and Joel can find a way to make it work—even if it's an unconventional relationship.
