Fox airs clip of Patriots' alleged Spygate footage of Bengals

In 2007 when the New England Patriots were embroiled in the Spygate scandal, reporter Jay Glazer was the only media person to get footage of the video that landed the Patriots in hot water — and he aired at least part of it for the public to see.

On Sunday, Glazer once again became the first media person to get footage of a video that has once again landed New England in hot water.

Here’s the clip that aired on the Fox NFL pregame show as well as the discussion around the video:

This is video from a Bengals’ security employee, filming the footage taken by the employees who were on hand last week at Cleveland’s FirstEnergy Stadium.

New England has said the camera crew, employed by Kraft Sports Productions, was filming one of the team’s advance scouts for the series “Do Your Job” that has highlighted the work of several behind-the-scenes employees over the past few months.

The crew was credentialed by the Browns to be in the press box to film the Patriots’ advance scout, who gathers information on upcoming opponents — a position all NFL teams have. The crew said they were getting B-roll, which is supplemental footage.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick has insisted he had no part of the production.

New England has suspended the videographer who filmed the sideline, the Boston Globe reported on Sunday afternoon.

The NFL is investigating and the Patriots could face penalties from the league.
