"Since I’m from the Middle East, I’m very much all about the Mediterranean diet," Gadot shares. She says that her eating style emphasizes tons of fresh veggies, olive oil, lean protein and fruits: "I look at food as fuel, and I want to give the best to my body so I try to eat healthy on most days."

2. She eats three balanced meals a day.

After her morning workout, Gadot fuels with two eggs, toast and a salad, which she says typically keeps her full until lunchtime. For lunch, she pairs a lean protein with a complex carb like sweet potato, plus a ton of veggies. "I love all different kinds of fish, but my latest obsession is Chilean sea bass. I also like chicken and filet steak."

Gadot also eats Goodles at least twice a week; it's a healthier take on mac and cheese that's packed with 14 grams of protein per 1 cup serving and 6 grams of fiber, plus prebiotics to support gut health. As a founding partner of the brand, Gadot was passionate about creating a better-for-you version of the traditional comfort food. "My favorites are Shella Good and Cheddy Mac," she says.

For dinner, she focuses on protein and veggies. "I’m also big on salad with delicious dressings," Gadot shares. "The ones I make are either based with olive oil or Greek yogurt with lots of herbs and spices for a delicious kick."

She not only starts her day with those eggs, salad and toast, but she also makes sure her little girls know how important it is for them to eat healthy too. Like mother, like daughters!

"My girls always start their mornings with a filling, healthy breakfast. Smoothies or eggs on toast are their favorites," she shares, adding that she is passionate about teaching them that "eating a balanced diet is so important."

In addition to her three daily meals, Gadot makes room for a daily afternoon snack to help fuel her through the remainder of the day.

"In the afternoon, when I get hungry again, I'll have a snack, which is usually dates or yogurt with green apples," Gadot shares. The combo of protein, complex carbs and fiber helps keep her satisfied until dinnertime.

"I try to eat healthy yet balanced. I don't like to deprive myself of anything. I believe in balance in everything, by the way," she told Good Housekeeping. "I love to cook, and I’ve always been a foodie."
