A photo of a popular YouTube star and his boyfriend posing for an Army prom is being called “gorgeous” and “beautiful.”

Max Emerson, a writer, underwear model, and vlogger, posted the photo on Instagram on Sunday and tagged it to West Point, the U.S. military academy in New York. In the image, Emerson and boyfriend Andres Camilo reenact the classic “prom pose,” with Camilo standing behind Emerson, wrapping his arms around his waist.

The photo — captioned “Hello from #gay #army #prom” — received more than 33K likes and hundreds of comments, such as “You two are so gorgeous together,” “Any kind of love is beautiful,” and “Keep that love going.”

Aside from his shirtless selfies, Emerson is particularly known for a popular YouTube video called “Meet My Boyfriend!” back in June, where he introduced fans to Camilo, a New York City-based consultant and soldier in the National Guard. The video was the first time that the couple, who met on a dating app, went public with their relationship.

The moment was especially significant for Camilo. “I guess, with this video, I’m coming out to the military,” he said, before kissing Emerson in the footage, which received more than 371 views on YouTube.

Emerson did not respond to Yahoo Beauty’s request for comment; however, in January the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary, and Emerson shared some adorable snaps.

Camilo isn’t the first soldier to come out on social media. In 2011, the same year that the controversial government policy Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell ended, a 21-year-old soldier named Randy Phillips, who was stationed in Germany, videotaped himself asking his father, “Can I tell you something? Will you love me, serious? Like you’ve always loved me, as long as I live?”

After hearing the news, Phillips’s father says, “I still love you, and I will always love you, and I will always be proud of you.”
