College quarterbacks seem to be pretty comfortable out on the water

We’ve seen guys like Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph (twice), Shane Buechele of Texas and USC’s Sam Darnold post fun videos to social media showing off their accuracy. This weekend, it was Georgia sophomore Jacob Eason.

Eason got a teammate involved, too. Watch this:

That’s Eason delivering a nice deep ball from a boat on Lake Oconee to Isaac Nauta. The two arrived in Athens together as five-star recruits in the 2016 class, so they clearly have a nice rapport.

Eason’s pass is thrown perfectly, but the level of difficulty is much higher on Nauta’s end (though Eason gets bonus points for the dab at the end). The tight end had to track the ball while driving the jet ski, which he turned slightly at the last moment before corralling the ball with just his right arm. Well done.

Eason started 12 games for the Bulldogs in 2016 as a true freshman and threw for 2,430 yards, 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The 6-foot-4, 246-pound Nauta was third on the team with 29 catches for 361 yards. His three touchdowns were second on the squad behind Isaiah McKenzie’s seven.

Nauta is expected to have a big role on the Bulldogs offense in 2017.

For fun, let’s compare Eason’s throw to the others.

Here’s Buechele:

And Rudolph’s two entries:

Let’s not forget Darnold:

If we’re basing this strictly on QB accuracy, the nod has to go to Rudolph’s 2017 throw, right?
