Kate Middleton‘s “it” bag of the moment is perfect for all occasions — even on rainy days.
During a visit to Blackpool Tower with Prince William on Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out wearing a dreamy sea green ensemble, despite the dreary weather. For the occasion, Kate wore a green Sportmax wrap coat and matching green peacock print dress by Michael Kors, but it was Kate’s green Manu Atelier boxy handbag that immediate caught our eye.
It has a top handle, boxy-rectangular shape, lid-like flap and made of suede and leather. Kate’s exact version is sold out, but we found a very similar version on Farfetch ($434).
Manu Atelier is a Turkish handbag label founded in 2014 by sisters, Beste and Merve Manastir. However, their company has much deeper roots than their 5-year-old company suggests.
Beste and Merve are the daughters of Adnan Manastır, one of the oldest leather craftsman and manufacturers in Istanbul. For Manu Atelier, the sisters instilled two key elements they learned from their father: hand-craftsmanship and premium quality leather. Of course, what differentiates their company from their father’s is its target towards fashionable, modern women.
Manu Atelier handbags have an indistinguishable gold arrow embellishment and are easily recognizable on street-style stars across the globe.
