'Get Out' star Daniel Kaluuya reveals the weird things white people say to him
Daniel Kaluuya visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and shared some of the weird things that white people say to him. The star of Get Out, a breakout horror film in 2017 that dealt with the topic of being black in America, joked that white people will try to seem like they’re “so down” around him.
In the film, in order to relate to Kaluuya’s character, Bradley Whitford’s character says that he would “vote for Obama a third time” if he could. To Stephen Colbert, Kaluuya explained, “The new version of that is ‘I’ve seen Get Out three times.’”
He also included random mentions of Steph Curry as one of the things that white people will say to him unprompted.
