What We Like:
CONVENIENT SETTINGS The different settings are tailored to types of foods. Use "dry" for pantry staples like rice and grains; "moist" for things like meat; and "pulse" which helps prevent soft foods, like raspberries, from getting squished.
CUTS FOOD WASTE... In our tests, heat-sealed items like marinated chicken cutlets, burger patties, raspberries, and cut apples showed no signs of air release or going bad after two weeks in the fridge! (Note: Keep in mind this was a test—protein should not be stored for more than three to four days without freezing.) The handheld unit can be used to seal wine bottles and the perfect-for-leftovers Food Saver storage containers.
...AND REDUCES PLASTIC WASTE, TOO! The built-in cutter and heat sealer allow you to create custom-size bags to perfectly fit whatever you are storing. The heat sealer can also be used on snack bags, so you can keep chips fresh without transferring to a single-use plastic bag.
