The Giraffe Was Revealed on 'The Masked Singer," and He's Actually BFFs Eith Robin Thicke

From Woman's Day

Fans of The Masked Singer didn't have to wait long for a performer to leave them completely stumped. The Giraffe, looking prim and proper in its 1700s-style atire, was the second masked celeb to take the stage during the season4 premiere on Sept. 23. And, unfortunately for the long-necked performer, he was the third to get sent home.

Fans and judges didn't have much time with the Giraffe, but that didn't stop the guesses from flowing. From '90s rapper Vanilla Ice, to race car driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., to Broadway star Lin Manuel Miranda (yes, that Lin Manuel Miranda from Hamilton), the guesses ranged from the realistic to the really.

So who is the Giraffe on The Masked Singer?

Well — none of the people above. '90s heartthrob Brian Austin Greene was hiding beneath the costume.

Guest judge Joel McHale was the closest, guessing Green's 90210 co-star Jason Priestly. McHale's guess stemmed from a clip in the Oct. 7 pre-performance package that showed the Giraffe staring at season 2's Fox through binoculars. The comedian thought this was a reference to 90210, which originally aired on Fox. Additionally, he connected the crash references to a crash Priestly's character had on the show.

Here are some clues the judges (and fans) missed:

  • The carnival theme in the clue packages was a reference to Green's rap album, One Stop Carnival.

  • The robin on his shoulder was a nod to judge Robin Thicke, who Green has been friends with for years.

  • The multiple racing references were a nod to Green winning the Celebrity Grand Prix in 2010.

  • The peaches were a reference to the hot 90210 hangout spot, the Peach Pit.

  • The fox in the binoculars was an ode to Green's wife, Megan fox. Additionally, the "heard" of five giraffes were a tribute to Fox and Green's four children.

"It's been fun, it's been a really good time," Green said of his time on the show. "I loved messing with Ken."

Now that one more celebrity has been unmasked, it's only a matter of time before we see them all. (Obviously, that's how the show works.)
