Graduating Class Hosts Spectacular Festival of Christmas Trees Fundraiser

The holiday season is all about spreading joy and love, and this year, the graduating class of Swan Hills School has taken this festive spirit to heart by organizing a breathtaking "Festival of Christmas Trees" fundraiser. This festive event promises to be a heartwarming celebration filled with beautifully decorated Christmas trees, a delicious dinner, and a lively family dance. This delightful initiative not only brings the community together but also raises funds to support the graduation of these dedicated students.

The Festival of Christmas Trees fundraiser will be an enchanting event that showcases the creativity, generosity, and community spirit that Swan Hills is known for. It is organized by the students and their parents, who are putting in a tremendous effort to make this holiday event a success. There are 13 graduating students this year, and they are pulling out all the stops to make their graduation an unforgettable experience.

The heart of the event is undoubtedly the Christmas trees themselves. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to donate fully decorated Christmas trees of any size, colour, or theme. All of the trees will be displayed for viewing on the night of the event. Attendees can bid on any trees that may have caught their eye through a silent auction, with the highest bidders taking home a stunning, fully decorated Christmas tree at the end of the night. The silent auction will include a variety of items in addition to the Christmas trees, and there will be a 50/50 draw.

To keep the holiday spirits high and the energy going, the event will also include a delectable Christmas dinner as part of the experience. After the silent auction, attendees can let their hair down and get their groove on with a family dance from 8:00 – 10:00 PM.

The Festival of Christmas Trees will be held on November 25 in the big gym at Swan Hills School. Tickets will be available next week at Home Hardware or the school. Ticket prices are $25 for adults (13 and up), $10 for children (6 – 12), and free for children 5 and under. Alcohol will not be served as this is a family event, but non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

Proceeds from this event will go towards expenses related to the upcoming 2024 graduation celebration, such as decorations, catering the meal, a photographer, etc.

While the night will focus on the Christmas trees, the silent auction will also include other items. Any donations to this event would be greatly appreciated. Event organizers have already received some donations of cash and items for the silent auction.

The Festival of Christmas Trees promises to be an unforgettable night of joy, togetherness, and generosity. So, mark your calendars and join the graduating class of 2024 at Swan Hills School for an enchanting evening filled with Christmas trees, delicious food, and dancing, all for a wonderful cause.
