Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's Grammys Performance Is Getting Roasted
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton performed their new song "Nobody But You" at the 2020 Grammy Awards last night, and shortly after, Gwen's name started trending on Twitter. How delightful! you innocently mused. I wonder what nice things everyone must be saying!
Ha, sweet summer child — unfortunately, Gwen and Blake are being fully dragged for their Grammys performance. Like, truly, people were not having it:
Gwen if you not spelling “bananas” then we don’t want to hear it #GRAMMYs pic.twitter.com/0Mcv0Bs14L

And despite cute lyrics about love and whatever, some people simply wanted the performance to end, for the love of all that is good:

Meanwhile, others were simply not feeling Gwen and Blake's vibes:
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have the palpable on stage chemistry of two parents who have nothing in common but their kids are best friends so they're forced to constantly interact and it's always slightly awkward

Gwen Stefani's descent into this current Buckhead real estate agent persona is one of the most devastating things to my psyche

But please be advised there were a few Gwen fans out there (okay, fine, one) trying to cut through the noise:

And then there was this take on the whole thing:
i have no shit to talk about Gwen Stefani putting out a trash ballad with her big stubbly country ham. You dont do something like that unless you’re stupid happy, like this abomination is confirmation that she’s very in love. May we all find someone we’d set our brand on fire for

P.S. Before we go, Blake and Gwen weren't at all nervous about singing together. They informed E! News on the red carpet: "We [sing together] all the time. We sing at the house. Music is such a part of our everyday life anyway together, so performing here — it's the Grammys, so you're nervous about that — but the actual performing together is just what we do."
Cool!
