Gwyneth Paltrow Said Daughter Apple Used to Think She Was a "Total Loser"

You'd think having worn one of the most iconic red carpet dresses in history would earn you some fashion clout with your 16-year-old daughter, but Gwyneth Paltrow would implore you to think again.

In an interview with People tied to Rakuten's Big Give Week, the Goop founder and actress said that her daughter, Apple Martin, "does not want my advice whatsoever on anything" in the shopping sphere. "She has all of her online stores that she loves, and my son is the exact opposite."

Moses Martin, 15, is "indecisive" when it comes to shopping, "but he likes advice; [Apple] does not."

Still, Apple is starting to recognize Paltrow's sartorial power. "My daughter likes my style now, which is great because there was a period of time where she thought I was a total loser," the lifestyle guru told People.

Moses, however, would prefer that his mom opt for more traditional outfits. "My son, he never likes it if I wear anything revealing, like vaguely see-through or too low cut or too high cut," she said. "He wants me to dress very conservatively when I leave the house."
