Halle Bailey defends sister Chloe after sexy photo backlash: ‘Anybody who hates on that can talk to me’

Halle Bailey wants to make it clear that she is not here for the Chloe hate.

In a recent interview with the LA Times, the sisters opened up about creating separate social media profiles and owning separate identities.

"It’s not weird having our own accounts because we’ve always had private ones with our friends," Chloe said. "A lot of the stuff I post is just content from my old account. It’s fun, though, for people to dive deeper into who we are as individuals."

In January, Chloe received backlash after posting sexy videos and photos to Instagram and now Halle is making known that anyone who has a problem with her big sister's posts will have to go through her.

"I’m still trying to figure out my Instagram — I’ll post whatever, it’s not that serious to me — but I think Chloe is killing it. She is so beautiful, and I’m so proud of her confidence in herself and her body and inspiring other women to do that as well, because that is so important. And anybody who hates on that can talk to me," Halle said.

Chloe doubled down on her right to share whatever she wants on her Instagram page and own her sexuality.

"I feel there’s such power in women who truly love themselves and own who they are, whether they want to be completely covered or showing skin or whether they want to be outspoken or completely quiet," Chloe told the publication. "It’s our right as women to choose who we want to be and how we want to be seen in this world and not be judged for it, because men can be all of those things and no one takes another look or says anything about it. I’m not really doing anything new, I’m just being myself."

This is not the first time Chloe has had to defend herself. In February she went on Instagram Live and tearfully discussed the negative feedback she was receiving.

"It’s really hard for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly," she admitted at the time. "So, when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way or in that light. So I take it as a huge compliment that you all see me as a sexual, sexy being. I don't post what I post to get attention. I don't need that."

She added that she finds confidence in her music and in dancing, which also makes her feel sexy.

"I’m not gonna cry this time,” she said as she began to tear up. “So it really means a lot to me when I can finally get to a place where I share who I really am. And I’ve been like really insecure for a long time and I’m finally like at that place where I have self-confidence. And I’m really happy that I get to share that with you all.”
