Halsey welcomed son Ender Ridley Aydin last July, but ever since, the singer's health has gone downhill.

On their Instagram Stories yesterday, the new mom—whose pronouns are she/they—told fans what they've been going through, sharing that they have spent weeks in and out of the hospital.

"Obviously my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth," they said. "I started getting really, really, really, sick … I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis, a few times, and I had some other stuff going on."

Nine months after welcoming their first child with boyfriend Alev Aydin, Halsey has been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren's syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).

"I've been looking for answers to the root cause of some of these things, which may be an autoimmune disease," they said, adding that they've had autoimmune issues for most of their life and were previously diagnosed with endometriosis. Days before attending the 2022 Grammys, they even underwent surgery for the condition.

Before the awards show, the singer shared photos of her in the hospital. "The last time I attended the Grammys was 2017 and it was 3 days after I had my first Endometriosis surgery. I walked the carpet with my stitches still in 😅 As luck would have it, I'm attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago. Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I'm fragile. Fragile but excited :) 🤍," she wrote in the caption.

But Halsey isn't letting their recent ailments hold them down. The singer said they are still rehearsing for their upcoming Love and Power Tour, set to kick off soon.

"I don't want anybody to be worrying. I'm on a treatment plan right now. I'm really excited and I'm confident that I'll be able to do it in a way that's healthy, where I can perform my best for all of you," they said.

Halsey has been documenting their health journey on Instagram. Another update came in late April.

"Trying my best to keep things normal; Grammy's Coachella etc.," they captioned a photo of them in bed, making a peace sign with their hand. "But my body is putting up a strong protest. And ultimately demanding that I slow down or stop foreal this time. Especially so I can be in the best shape for tour."

They also sent love to their "fellow spoonies": individuals who suffer from chronic illness.
