Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron’s Relationship: A Complete Timeline

Whew, it seems like it was just yesterday Hannah Brown made one of the worst choices in Bachelorette history by picking Jed Wyatt over Tyler Cameron. Then again, it also feels like it all went down at least four years ago, right?

Somehow, the most dramatic storyline Chris Harrison could ever imagine happened entirely outside of their Bachelorette season. Don’t forget, Brown and Cameron’s narrative involves the best Fantasy Suite episode ever, a date proposal on live TV, and Gigi Hadid.

Below, check out their entire relationship timeline:

March 2019–July 2019: Hannah Brown meets contestant Tyler Cameron on the set of her season of The Bachelorette. When audiences were introduced to the guy in May, he quickly became a fan favorite. He was clearly Brown’s biggest cheerleader on- and offscreen.

During the couple’s Fantasy Suite date, he had the perfect response to her concerns over their relationship being too physical. “The Fantasy Suite has the connotation of sex. For me, it’s way more than that,” he told her when she said she did not want to sleep with him. “I just want to be with you and have that time with you. You have to really love and really respect and honor each other’s boundaries.”

Brown woke up the next morning positively beaming. “[Cameron] was the most respectful man that’s ever been with me. Ever,” she said. Fans were here for it.

August 4, 2019: Plot twist! Just two days after that overnight, Cameron goes on a date with supermodel Gigi Hadid. Brown wasn’t thrilled. “I wish I would’ve got a little bit more than two days. But, you know, it is okay,” she said on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on August 7.

November 10, 2019: Brown bumps into Cameron and his mom at the People’s Choice Awards.

January 2020: Cameron moves on to flirting with…Jennifer Garner?

February 2020: After a few dramatic appearances on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, a still single Brown jokes on Instagram about getting ghosted by the celebrity dating app Raya.

March 7, 2020: Brown goes to Jupiter, Florida, following the death of Cameron’s mother, Andrea Cameron. Brown was there for the celebration of Andrea’s life at Miller’s Ale House. Thus began the recent dating rumors.

March 14, 2020: Cameron is spotted picking up Brown from a Florida airport. Matt James, Tyler’s BFF and future Bachelor, posted a photo with Brown on Instagram.

While Brown and Cameron continued to enjoy quarantine time with friends in Florida, a source told Us Weekly that they’re “great friends.”

“They have a lot of love for each other,” the source said. “They’re great friends and have a lot of fun together. It’s as simple as that. It’s been a hectic year for them both. And they finally found some time in their schedules to connect.”

March 19, 2020: Brown announces on her Instagram that she and her “BFF” Matt James will be going live with Cameron on his Instagram. It was a live workout, so don’t get too excited, but over 23,000 were watching at publish time, so there’s that. Brown and Cameron also seemed awfully flirty throughout.

March 29, 2020: While Cameron and Brown’s relationship (whatever it may be) was keeping us sane right now, the close quarters might have been starting to get to them. Bestie James posts a TikTok of the pair arguing over how often to wash your sheets—Cameron says two months which, ew. During the video, James suggested that Brown and Cameron just had their “first fight.”

It seems they took that literally, launching into a pillow fight. Cameron couldn’t resist the opportunity to poke fun at his friend Pilot Pete. “Better than Pete’s pillow fights,” he said. Remember that weird group date on Peter Weber’s Bachelor season? Cameron does. Watch the whole thing here:

April 2, 2020: Brown and Cameron's quarantine TikToks seem to come to an end. Matt James reports on Instagram Stories that the Alabama native has returned home to ride out the rest of this pandemic with her family.

“Breezy is back in Tuscaloosa, Alabama,” he said in the video. “Her and Marshall drove home late last night. They want to ride this thing out with their families.” Side note: Breezy is a really cool nickname.

April 3, 2020: Cameron fires back at a fan of Brown’s who said he’s not the “perfect guy for her” and that the Quarantine Crew is boring without her. “How many cats do you have?” he replied, captured by Instagram fan page, @tahhler. That’s…not the best comeback, but it is telling.

April 14, 2020: Oof, Tannah shippers suffered a blow when Brown confirms her single status on Instagram Live.

April 21, 2020: Cameron tells fans he’s “not datin’ nobody” during an Instagram Live. BUT WHY DON’T I BELIEVE HIM?!

May 6, 2020: During an hourlong Instagram Live, Brown reportedly tells fans she’s ready to “test the waters a bit.”

“You know, I definitely want to be in a relationship. I think I’m finally getting to the point where I can say that I could do that at this point in my life,” she said in the video, per Us Weekly. “I think I needed a little break and I definitely took that. I’m gonna be single until it’s right. I don’t date around, really. You have to date people, but I date, like, seriously.”

Still, that doesn’t necessarily mean she wants to date anyone in Bachelor Nation. “I can date other people that are not on The Bachelor,” she reportedly added. “Y’all are driving me crazy!” It’s hard not to think of Cameron here, with whom she’s been most linked to as of late.

May 12, 2020: Cameron finally gives us some tea on what went down with Brown when they were in quarantine together earlier this year. Well, sort of. “I think we should just keep that between me and Hannah,” he told Entertainment Tonight, adding that the two “just reconnected over some things that we were both going through and we were there for each other.”

Cameron continued, “It was supposed to be, like, a weekend. Things kind of got a little crazy with the whole [coronavirus]…so it was a lot longer of a trip than expected, but it was good. We got to kind of air a lot of things out and become friends again and put a lot of stuff in our past. It was definitely nice to have her here. She was someone to talk to about things and be around for everyone. She was great. And she’s someone that can listen and give her perspective and she’s very pleasant in that setting.”

May 18, 2020: Cameron responds to Brown’s saying the N-word on Instagram Live. (If you missed it, she said the word while rapping the words to DaBaby’s “Rockstar” on May 16.) He took to Instagram Stories, first by screenshotting a video of Rachel Lindsay’s response to the controversy.

“Rachel hit the nail on the head. Y’all need to look at the comments. We have a long ways to go on this issue and a lot to learn. If you find yourself getting defensive, you are part of the problem,” Cameron wrote.

“This is not about dragging HB [Hannah Brown],” he continued. “This is about using your platform for reasons like this. So we can educate those who don’t get it. This is bigger than HB. This is a societal problem.”

In a separate Instagram Stories slide, Cameron said, “Those that say that [the word is] part of the song and that they can sing it are so out of touch. HB is not a racist. I know. But blaming the rap artist is not the answer. Educate yourself and listen to what Rachel has to say about the word ‘bitch,’ and hopefully it’ll start to click for you.”

He concluded with, “In these moments you have the opportunity to burry [sic] someone or lift them up. We need to lift HB up from this. She is learning and growing just like every single one of us. Love rids hate. Hate only makes more hate. Let’s learn and lift each other up with love.”

October 7, 2020: Brown and Cameron get together to film a YouTube video revealing “what really happened in quarantine” when the former couple was living together.

“We were kind of leaning on each other. We were both going through things, and were kind of like each other’s support system all of a sudden,” Cameron said. “You of course have your family there, but it’s always nice to have someone to lean on as well.” Brown, who attended his mother’s funeral, said, “I wanted to get away from my own trauma so I would say that I traded Tyler’s trauma for mine. I also wanted to be there for you.”

Brown insists that they were not getting physical, however. “People think we were hooking up the whole time... Never kissed,” she said. While Cameron admits they help feed into the media coverage about their relationship status, it turned their living situation into a “pressure cooker" and they definitely weren’t always getting along.

“I was in a hurt place, you were in a hurt place, we have a tough past. We’ve gone through a lot together, and this was our first time really hanging out,” he said. “I just wanted to work on it being a friendship. So if we stepped away and got away from each other and we wanted more, we could always go get more.” Eventually Brown left and not necessarily on the best terms: “By that time I was so—like, I wasn’t very nice that day. You were definitely not nice that day.”

So where do they stand now? Brown said they are “trying to be cool being friends,” while Cameron added, “I’m super stoked with where we’re at right now.”
