Hannity and the rest of cable news rip Sean Spicer's 'DWTS' wardrobe

Sean Spicer was the laughing stock of cable news Tuesday following his Dancing With the Stars debut. The former White House press secretary performed the Spice Girls' "Spice Up Your Life," but it was his neon green ruffled shirt that had everyone in the cable news world laughing.

Sean Hannity admitted that he likes Spicer, but wasn't impressed by his dancing skills and definitely wasn't feeling his shirt choice. But rather than placing all the blame on Spicer, Hannity playfully called out his guest, former RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, for not intervening.

Hannity said, "You were there, and you let him wear that. I blame you as much as him. Why did you not rip that off of him and take that away from him? What the hell was that?"

On CNN, Anderson Cooper and Chris Cuomo shared a good laugh about Spicer's performance. Cooper recited Cuomo's "favorite" lyrics to "Spice Up Your Life," as Cuomo bopped to the music. Then Cuomo joked that he hadn't seen that shirt since Cooper wore it the last time they went out, but assured Cooper that he wore it better.

A little later on CNN Tonight, Don Lemon also joined in on the fun. Lemon said of Spicer's wardrobe, "What in the Ricky Ricardo-Liberace was going on with that? That is the loudest outfit I've ever seen a flamenco dancer wear."

On MSNBC's Hardball, Chris Matthews could barely make it through a clip of Spicer's performance before dismissing the entire thing. "I've got no comment. I'm not going any further with this. Let's kill that one," said Matthews as he cut off the clip.

Earlier in the night, Spicer joined Fox News's Martha MacCallum, where he explained that the song and shirt wasn't his choice. He found out the day before shooting. Spicer thinks it was sort of a "payback" from everybody. He assured MacCallum that he knows the song for next week, and he'll be more "tastefully dressed."

Hannity airs weeknights at 9 p.m. on Fox News.
