Harvey Weinstein speaks out following wife's announcement that she's leaving him

Harvey Weinstein is "profoundly devastated" in the wake of his wife Georgina Chapman's announcement that she's leaving him.

Chapman, one of the founders and designers of Marchesa, revealed that she would be leaving her husband of 10 years on Tuesday night after more allegations surfaced that her husband had sexually assaulted, harassed and raped women during his decades of work in Hollywood. The couple shares children India Pearl, 7, and Dashiell Max Robert, 4.

In a new statement to Page Six, Weinstein said that he "fully" supports Chapman's decision and that he "didn't stand in Georgina's way" when they "discussed a separation."

"I am profoundly devastated," he reportedly told Page Six. "I have lost my wife and kids, whom I love more than anything else."

"I fully support her decision," he continued. "I didn’t stand in Georgina’s way when we discussed a separation, I encouraged her to do what was in her heart. I know she has to do what is best for the children, for herself and her business, she employs 130 people. I don’t want her or my children to be hurt any more than they already have. I truly love Georgina, and I hope one day we can reconcile, although right now I don’t know if that could possibly happen."

Weinstein's new statement comes amid reports that he has jetted off to Arizona to receive treatment for his alleged sex addiction. He had reportedly initially planned to fly to Switzerland to get treatment, though those plans were thwarted due to "plane issues," ET reported.

The ET source claimed that Harvey's brother, Bob, suggested that he fly to Arizona instead to receive treatment at The Meadows.

Meanwhile, his wife is "not doing well" in the aftermath of her announcement that she's leaving her husband.

"She is very upset and feels defeated," a source told ET. "She is not concerned about her own finances whatsoever, [and she] always knew [Weinstein] exhibited questionable behavior."

According to Page Six, Chapman has reportedly reached out to Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's top aide and Anthony Weiner's soon-to-be ex-wife, for support.

"One of the people Georgina has reached out to is Huma, who has been through this kind of scandal and media storm and survived with her dignity in tact," a source told the outlet. "They are both mothers, they have both been in a situation where their husbands turned out to be a different person than the man they thought they knew."

More than 20 women have come forward with allegations of Weinstein's unwanted sexual advances towards them, including well-known names like Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd. The backlash against Weinstein started at the end of last week with the New York Times' explosive report on his past, which was followed up by another bombshell report in the New Yorker.

Weinstein was fired from his perch at The Weinstein Company on Sunday night.

The continuing revelations about Weinstein's past behavior have also inspired other figures in Hollywood to come forward with similar experiences with different producers or male figures in the industry. On Wednesday, former "One Tree Hill" actress Hilarie Burton and makeup artist AnnaMarie Tindler both claimed that Ben Affleck had groped them -- Burton on "TRL" in the early 2000s and Tindler at a Golden Globes party in 2014.

Affleck apologized to Burton on Twitter, but has yet to comment on Tindler's accusation.

Actors Terry Crew and James Van Der Beek also came forward with stories of sexual harassment, saying that they'd both been inappropriately touched by "powerful" figures in Hollywood that they didn't name.
