The Couple Who Went Home on 'Dancing With the Stars' Surprised Literally Everyone

Between Bobby Bones's intense personality and plenty of shocking elimination results, Dancing With the Stars season 27 is looking like one of the most explosive seasons yet. Now, after several weeks of competition, only four couples remain and will compete for the Mirrorball trophy on November 19. The pairs left are: Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess, Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe, Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten, and Milo Manheim and Witney Carson.

In case you missed an episode here or there, here's a list of all the contestants that have bid farewell so far. Their exits are a result of America's votes and scores from the show's three judges - Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli:

The first to leave DWTS was stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser, who received a score of 17 out of 30 for her salsa routine to "Yes." While she certainly didn't end up on top of the leaderboard, she wasn't the lowest-scoring celebrity from week one (Joe Amabile was, with a 14 out of 30). But after taking into account America's votes, she ultimately was eliminated. Also joining her in the bottom six from the first week were gymnast Mary Lou Retton, blind Paralympian Danelle Umstead, Facts of Life star Nancy McKeon, social media influencer Alexis Ren, and Dukes of Hazzard actor John Schneider.

The blind Paralympian left the competition in a rather controversial manner. During week 2's results show (which doubled as Las Vegas night), host Tom Bergeron announced that there had been a technical difficulty which led to none of the phone-in votes being counted. And so, only the online votes and judges' scores determined who would be eliminated. In the end, it came down to John and Danelle. Danelle had earned an 18 out of 30 for her New York City night and a 19 out of 30 for her Vegas night performance. Meanwhile, John received a 23 out of 30 for New York City night and a 20 out of 30 for Vegas night.

After dedicating her rumba to her family for "Most Memorable Year" night on DWTS, The Facts of Life star left the ballroom for the season. Although her time on the show ended, Nancy can leave knowing that she definitely improved. From scoring an 18 out of 30 in week one to a 22 out of 30 just two weeks later, it's safe to say Nancy stepped up her game as the contest progressed.

In a rather astonishing results show, Tinashe and Brandon, despite scoring an impressive 27 out of 30, were kicked off in the fourth week of competition. Given that they were near the top of the leaderboard after "Most Memorable Years" night, the couple must've received a low number of votes in comparison to several duos at the bottom (like John and Emma, Joe and Jenna, and Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess). Also in jeopardy this week were Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe, even though they, too, earned a solid 27 out of 30.

Because it was "Disney Night" on Week 5 (and Disney is all about happiness and joy), no one was eliminated that evening. But unfortunately, Mary Lou and Sasha were the ones kicked off one week later on "Halloween Night" based on the scores and audience votes from the previous episode (they earned a 25 out of 30). Joining them at the bottom were Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten, despite their undeniable chemistry on the dance floor and admirable score of 29 out of 30.

Week 7, also known as "Country Night," marked the first time all season long that a male celebrity went home on the show. Surprisingly, it also ended up being a double elimination night, which meant the famed linebacker was one of two celebs to say goodbye. He ended his time on the show with a 27 out of 30 score for his "extremely smooth" Viennese Waltz.

Along with DeMarcus, The Dukes of Hazzard star also bowed out of the competition on "Country Night" after earning a 25 out of 30 for his jazz routine. His elimination came after getting a lower score of 19 out of 30 last week for his Halloween-inspired performance.

Joe and Jenna's streak came to an end on Week 8 when the pair were one of the two couples to say goodbye in the semifinals round. Despite consistently earning the lowest scores every week, it's clear Joe's beloved Bachelorette fan base kept the reality star alive in the competition for so long. On a positive note, Joe and Jenna earned their highest score of the competition (24 out of 30) before exiting.

In possibly the most surprising elimination result in DWTS history, Tom declared that Juan Pablo and Cheryl were not going to the finale. The shocking announcement came after Juan and Cheryl scored three consecutive 30 out of 30 scores. Although they were the judges' favorites in the competition, the duo simply didn't garner enough votes from viewers to make it to the finale.
