Over the weekend, Toni Braxton shared a steamy video of herself rocking a red string bikini and a bald pate, looking great. "Red Hot Sunday," she captioned the clip, showing off her body from a number of angles, along with an emoji of a chili pepper. "I'm becoming plant-based. I'm in the process," she told them, revealing that she weaned herself off of meat and became a pescatarian. "But I'm going fully plant-based. It's making me feel better, so there is some truth it." 2 She Exercises Every Day Photo by Rich Fury/Getty ImagesBraxton doesn't take a day off when it comes to fitness. "I work out every day, every single day, seven days a week," she told Healthy Living. "If I do cardio, I work on my treadmill. I walk 40 minutes on my treadmill every single day. I'm very lucky, because as a singer, we always use our force. It's like nature's sit-ups for singers, but I work out every day." 3 She Listens to Her Body Because She Has Lupus Photo by Leon Bennett/Getty ImagesBraxton was diagnosed with Lupus in 2008, and was in and out of the hospital for months. "I remember having to tell my kids that I have lupus. It was difficult," she told Prevention. Due to the autoimmune disorder, she has to be incredibly strict about her diet, especially when she has to take steroids to treat it. "I may have lupus, but I decided I was not going to be a victim," she says. "Now, I listen to my body," she said. 4 She Has Never Struggled with Her Weight Braxton performs during LaFace Records platinum celebrates party in Atlanta Georgia. October 14, 1993 (Photo By Rick Diamond/Getty Images)According to Braxton, the numbers on the scale have never been a struggle for her. "I've been very lucky. Never had a struggle with weight prior to my illness. Being on steroids, I never had a problem with that," she told Healthy Living. 5 She Swears By a Half Glass of Wine Every Night Drinking wine every night is Braxton's number one health tip. "This is old school, but what works for me is I take a half a glass of wine every night. It heals everything. Some people take Robitussin pills every night. I take a half a glass of wine, a nightcap, every night. Not a lot: just a little bit. It keeps my blood thin. It keeps my motion going. It keeps me clear-headed. I just think it's nature's tonic," she told Healthy Living. 6 She Also Swears By This Morning Elixir Braxton starts the day with a concoction of "hot water, lemon, and a sprig or two of mint in there," she revealed to Healthy Living. "I have two cups of that almost every day, at least four days a week. Keeps the pipes going, keeps my skin feeling great, gives me energy in the morning without making me feel anxiety."
She showed the world that having MS didn't mean ditching glamour.

The Ontario government has said the COVID-19 vaccine made by Oxford-AstraZeneca, which was previously available to residents aged 55 and older, will be offered to those 40 and older starting Tuesday. Here's what you need to know: Where is the vaccine being offered? The government says the Oxford-AstraZeneca shot will be administered at more than 1,400 pharmacies across Ontario, as well as in certain doctors' offices. Pharmacies offering inoculations are listed at covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations ___ How do I get a shot? People who want to get the shot are advised to contact their doctor or a pharmacy directly to book an appointment. Shoppers Drug Mart said on social media that appointments can be secured through its website, but other pharmacies may be easier to reach by phone. In the past, some pharmacies have also offered walk-in appointments, so residents can also check if that's an option. There are no geographic restrictions on where residents can get a shot at a pharmacy, which means individuals can book an Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine at a pharmacy outside their home community if they choose. Those seeking to book an appointment must have a valid Ontario health card or other form of government-issued identification. The province's expanded eligibility for the shot includes those turning 40 this year. ___ How many Oxford-AstraZeneca doses does Ontario have? In an open letter issued last week, a group of Progressive Conservative legislators said Ontario has about 543,000 doses of the vaccine. They said about half those doses were in pharmacies and another 117,000 with family doctors. The province did not immediately provide updated numbers Monday. Though most of those doses aren't set to expire until the end of May, the head of the Ontario Pharmacists Association has warned that each vial of 10 doses is only usable for six to 48 hours once punctured, depending on how it is stored once open. ___ Why has the eligibility age changed? Health Canada has approved the Oxford-AstraZeneca shot for people 18 and older. The National Advisory Committee on Immunization currently recommends using it on those 55 or older due to a slightly elevated risk of an extremely rare blood clot disorder. NACI is currently reviewing its recommendation. Ontario had so far abided by the committee's recommendations. However, the province has faced escalating pressure to make the shot available to more people – which is within its power – as hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continue to skyrocket. It announced the change in its approach on Sunday. Many health experts have said that the benefits of getting vaccinated vastly outweigh the risk. The clotting issue has been treatable when caught early. ___ This report by The Canadian Press was first published April 19, 2021. The Canadian Press

JBS USA Food Company is recalling 4,860 pounds of beef products because they could be contaminated with E. coli, according to an announcement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).The frozen, boneless beef products were imported from Australia and shipped to distributors in New York and Pennsylvania on or around Nov. 10, 2020. While there have been no illnesses linked to the beef thus far, the department "is concerned that some product may be frozen and in cold storage at distributor or further processor locations." (Related: The 7 Healthiest Foods to Eat Right Now)FSIS says it collected a routine sample that tested positive for the presence of E. coli, promoting the recall. It is advising anyone with raw meat products to safely prepare them. This means cooking whole beef cuts to a temperature of 145-degrees Fahrenheit with a 3-minute rest time and ground beef to 160-degrees Fahrenheit. They also suggest investing in a food thermometer, which measures internal temperature to make sure the right amount of heat is used.Symptoms of an E. coli infection include abdominal cramps, dehydration, and diarrhea. They can develop between two and eight days after exposure. Older adults or kids younger than 5 years old are at a greater risk of developing a type of kidney failure called hemolytic uremic syndrome, which includes symptoms like bruising easily and decreased urine output.Another recall is also affecting items at your local supermarket—These Popular Trader Joe's Chips Are Being Recalled, FDA Says.
