Hilaria Baldwin stands up to body shamers after posing in her underwear with her baby

Hilaria Baldwin, 36, has made it clear that she won't stand for body shaming.

Baldwin, a yoga expert, took to Instagram Tuesday to have a "conversation" about what happened when Amy Schumer jokingly reposted a photo of an underwear-clad Baldwin with her fifth child, Eduardo.

Schumer has since taken the image down of Alec Baldwin's wife.

"After many people reached out to me, I decided to respond to the whole photo with Edu being made into a joke thing," Baldwin wrote on Instagram — making it clear that, while she didn't initially understand the joke, she is always up for humor.

"My only concern with it is it seemed to start to spiral out of control," Baldwin said in the video, which runs for about four minutes.

The post brought the conversation, she said, to body shaming.

"Now, does it hurt my feelings if some people are out there who I don't even know are critiquing why I might post a photo and if I looked differently would I have posted the photo — I sure hope so," Baldwin continued. "Because I love looking at photos supporting our bodies, our temple that we live in 24/7. I love it. Doesn't matter what you look like, I love it. If you're honoring yourself if you're loving yourself, I love it."

And inclusivity means everyone, she added.

"There's a whole thing like, 'oh, moms don't look like that,'" she said. "Some moms do. This mom does. And I am included in the inclusivity."

Baldwin continued that she loves to exercise and fits it in where she can — which can be a challenge with five children — Carmen, 7; Rafael, 5; Leonardo, 4; and Romeo, 2 and of course baby "Edu" — but she tries to fit it in because it makes her feel good.

"If you really go down this thought process of 'oh, she's looking a certain way' yeah, you know what, I do look a certain way. This is what I look like," she said in the self-facing video.

Baldwin added that she comes from smaller people and has prioritized fitness throughout her life. "And there is no need that I need to apologize for that — just as there is no need that anyone else needs to apologize."

"Body inclusivity, that means everybody," she continued. Later, she added: "2020 we've had so much negativity the past year," she said. "Stop, we're better together."

Schumer commented on the video with an apology: "I’m sorry!" she wrote.

And Baldwin replied to her apology, telling her she wasn't calling out the post itself, but the response some people had to it.

"Girl, don’t even apologize!" Baldwin replied. "You always make me laugh 💛. My only intentions were to address some of the the not so namaste behavior some people went running wild with after. You don’t need to take responsibility for their actions💜💜. Much love and light xoxo"

The Baldwins welcomed their fifth child into the world in September.

"We would love to introduce you to Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin," she wrote at the time. "His name means 'wealthy guardian of peace and light.'"

Hilaria Baldwin had been keeping her followers updated throughout her pregnancy journey since she first announced the news in April.

The yoga instructor shared a video on Instagram revealing her pregnancy with the baby's heartbeat audible in the background.

"I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel," she wrote. "Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you. Here we go again"

The pregnancy announcement came about four months after Hilaria Baldwin revealed her second miscarriage of 2019.
