Hoda Kotb Reveals She Has 'Not Closed the Door' on Having More Kids: 'I Get Signs'

The 'Today' news anchor is already a mom to daughters Haley, 7, and Hope, 4

There may be more kids in Hoda Kotb's future.

As a guest on The Jamie Kern Lima Show on Tuesday, Aug. 13, the Today co-anchor, 60, opened up about the possibility of welcoming more kids into her family of three. As a mom to daughters Haley, 7, and Hope, 4, Kotb shares that she's kept all of her "baby stuff" just in case she decides to expand her family.

"I get signs," the mom of two says about the idea of welcoming a third. "Like, I have held on to all of our baby stuff, all of it, because here's the truth about life: I keep meeting people who remind you that your heart's ability to expand is beyond measure."

She goes on to share a lesson someone once told her, “If you have the love, the space, the time and you can take care of a child who needs it, who might otherwise have a life that is, you know, not great, Why wouldn't you?"

"So I have not closed the door," Kotb reveals, "because I think life is really interesting."

She adds, "I always think that when you add something to your family, when you have a new family member, you know, for some people, when you have a pet, it enriches it all. Your kids learn more. They are more. They're better. Like I think you're making a better whole. And why not have more great goodness, if possible."

On Friday, Aug. 9, Kotb celebrated her 60th birthday, sharing the morning she spent surrounded by her daughters, as well as her mother, who filled her home with DIY decor.

In an Instagram post from the celebratory day, the proud mom could be seen opening up gifts from her little ones as they crowded around her and watched.

Hope held up a cluster of balloons she gifted her mom, and both girls smiled big with their grandma in the kitchen. Behind them, dozens of drawings done by Kotb's daughters hung on their back door.

"Great bday morning!! Lucky me xoxoxo," the birthday girl captioned her post.
