Hoda Kotb's Fans Have So Many Questions About Joel Schiffman's Shorts in Recent Instagram

After Hoda Kotb joined her Today show co-stars at the annual Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting on December 4, the NBC anchor kept the holiday fun going with her own family. A few days later, the 55-year-old captured the sweet moment her fiancé Joel Schiffman and their eldest adopted daughter, Haley Joy, picked out their very own Christmas tree.

“Got ours! ❤️🌲,” Hoda wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Joel carrying Haley on his shoulders and holding a tree.

Of course, the comment section was instantly flooded by followers sharing their admiration of the candid shot. “What a tiny cute tree 🌲,” one person wrote. “How sweet! She looks quite excited! ❤️🎄❤️🎄,” another added.

With that being said, Joel wearing khaki shorts stole a lot of folks' attention. “What a great Daddy daughter moment. BTW love that Joel wears shorts picking up the tree. 🌲,” one fan commented. “Isn’t Joel cold????” one person asked. “So sweet!!! But, he’s wearing shorts!! Is it warm there? 😆,” another wrote.

Hoda’s family of four is currently based in New York City, where temperatures have been fluctuating throughout December. Regardless of the weather situation though, some fans made it clear that they approved of Joel's fashion choice. “Shorts? What a stud,” one fan noted.

Fan commentary aside, on Wednesday, the newly engaged couple shared a heartwarming video of them lighting up their decorated Christmas tree. Hoda and Joel (who was wearing shorts again!) made the moment extra special by lighting it up two separate times, giving Haley and baby Hope Catherine, who was adopted in April, their own special countdowns.
