This $80 'holy grail' straightener has more than 20,000 5-star reviews on Amazon
When it comes to hair products, shelling out big bucks on flat irons and curling wands doesn’t always mean you’ll get the luxurious locks you were hoping for — so it’s key to look for well-reviewed products.
At just $80, the HSI Ionic Flat Iron Hair Straightener seems like a bargain in the often expensive world of hair tools — and it has a cult following online.
With more than 30,000 reviews — 72 per cent of which gave the product five stars — the multi-purpose tool is ranked the no.1 product in the Hair Straightening Irons category on Amazon.com and ranks no. 50 in Beauty & Personal Care.
The product promises to “straighten, flip and curl your hair” and “transform frizzy, dull hair into gorgeous straight, sleek locks.”
Although that seems fairly ambitious, the reviews for the iron proves that the product lives up to lofty expectations.
“This is the holy grail, guys. They’ve done it. They’ve made a flat iron that can control the beast(my hair). 10x better than my Chi Iron, and I can get my hair done in about 20 minutes now. FYI, I’m mixed(black/white) with EXTREMELY thick/coarse hair. And I relax and dye it,” wrote Tiffany Baker.
“This product is exactly what all the comments rave about. Easy, safe with temp controls, quick heat up, cute storage bag. Money well spent,” said Corinne Vele.
“Although I rely heavily on customer reviews, I very rarely write them myself,” wrote user marcellaleigh. “However, this straightener is so good I can't not write a review. I have tried/owned at a minimum of 5-10 different straighteners, both inexpensive and high end and this is the BEST.”
