I'm a Beauty Editor and I Can't Shut Up About This One Moisturizer

During this weird time, a lot of things are uncertain. But one thing I do know is spending nearly 24 hours a day in my walk up apartment's stale air with the central heat blasting is drying the hell out of my skin — and breathing out of my nose while wearing a face mask on my daily sanity walk doesn't help either.

Thanks to these factors, my skincare routine has been a continuous cycle of getting dry, flaky patches on the bridge of my nose and around my eyes. Slugging (aka coating my face in Vaseline) at night has been my only solution when it's come to getting rid of the rough texture.

That is, until BeautyStat Universal Pro-Bio Moisture Boost Cream hit a hard stop on my winter skin struggles. The light-as-air gel-cream moisturizer is a gentle, but effective blend of hyaluronic acid, reishi mushroom extract, a probiotic, and a barrier repair complex featuring ceramides and pomegranate sterols. Together, these ingredients plump skin, replenish moisture, and lock it in to prevent future dryness.

I'm not exaggerating when I say my dry patches were gone in the morning after one use of this moisturizer. And I'm also not lying about how glowy and soft my skin stays throughout the day when I apply it in the morning.

On top of that, the subtle cooling effect of the gel is an added bonus after nights of not getting much sleep due to coronavirus-induced vivid dreams.

After about three months of using the moisturizer morning and night, I sadly hit the bottom of the jar. But the true testament to this moisturizer's effectiveness is that my dry patches came back almost as soon as I stopped using it.

And that brings me to my only gripe with BeautyStat's Moisture Boost Cream: I just wish the jar was bigger.

Good to Go used to be the column where we'd share the beauty products we can't travel without. But while travel's off the table, we'll be focusing on products that make us feel good in quarantine. This month, why I'm obsessed with BeautyStat's Universal Pro-Bio Moisture Boost Cream.
