Inside Elsa Hosk and PrettyLittleThing’s L.A. Holiday Dinner Party With Brooks Nader and More

Elsa Hosk brought a festive spirit to Los Angeles with PrettyLittleThing on Thursday night.

The Swedish model — who’s become an influential tastemaker — has curated a selection of pieces for the U.K. retailer, her must-haves for holiday: satin black minidresses, HotPants, a cinched-waist suit with wide-leg trousers, a sequin maxi, a burgundy lace dress, among others, ranging from $36 to $125.

“The theme being a holiday vibe, I was into it,” Hosk said of working with the brand. She was hands-on while on double-duty modeling and styling the campaign, she said. “I’m always into projects where I can bring more to the table and not just be a model and clothing hanger.”

She had on a black satin mini with sweetheart neckline from the line: “I love this dress because it was simple. I normally don’t wear tight dresses but this one I’m loving. It’s not too tight. It’s perfect with tights and a heel.”

The women in the room — including Brooks Nader, Maeve Reilly, Jeannie Mai — were picture-perfect models for the looks; they posed in the halls of the Petit Ermitage sipping on espresso martinis and bloody Marias.

“So cute,” they echoed, walking into the dinner party.

The cozy hotel, nestled on a quiet street in West Hollywood, served as a fitting setting. Held in a private room by the rooftop, the space was transformed for the occasion — draped in red velvet, from the walls to the tablescape, and adorned with bows, red roses and Christmas cone trees covered in cranberries.

It’s a new chapter for PrettyLittleThing, which is in the early stages of rebranding. The Manchester-based company, known for its low price point and size inclusivity, is focusing on offering a more premium product with higher-quality materials. They’re looking to grow alongside their core consumer, who is veering away from pinks and unicorns — a brand signature — and turning to more sophisticated options.

Who better than Hosk to help bring that to life?

“They’re looking for a more high-fashion approach,” she said.

“She makes PrettyLittleThing look like Saint Laurent,” mused a guest.
