From Town & Country

For decades, The Beverly Hills Hotel has been an iconic Hollywood hideout, the place where movie stars lived, played, and worked (more than a few classic films were filmed there.) Famous guests included Fred Astaire, Gregory Peck, Lauren Bacall, and Elizabeth Taylor, who spent six of her eight honeymoons at the storied property.

You, too, can live like Hollywood royalty (at least temporarily) with a stay in one of the recently-restored bungalows-rates start at $8,500 a night. Take a peek inside the two hideaways inspired by legendary guests Marilyn Monroe and Howard Hughes.

The Monroe bungalow, where the actress stayed numerous times, is an intimate peek into her world.

The one-bedroom suite features Chanel N°5 fragrance and bath amenities, a library featuring classic Monroe films and books, and a special menu for in-room dining (Monroe famously loved steaks and ice cream sundaes).

The Hughes bungalow pays homage to the film producer and business tycoon who called the hotel home.

Hughes lived in the bungalow on and off for nearly 30 years-he famously requested that roast beef sandwich be left under a tree outside almost every night. The bungalow features art deco touches and dark, masculine colors. You'll also find odes to Hughes' career as a pilot, with model airplanes and aviation photographs.
