What this Instagrammer with nearly 3 million followers thinks the platform needs to dominate social media

It seems like Instagram has officially taken over. The social media app has hit 800 million monthly users, with more than 500 million people using the app daily. This is bad news for rival app Snapchat, as it receives only 173 million users daily. According to the New York Post, Instagram reported “its ‘stories’ feature that mimics Snapchat’s has 250 million monthly users — more than Snapchat’s entire user base.”

Like many of us, Claudia and Jackie Oshry of the Morning Breath are torn over which app to use: Instagram stories or Snapchat. Jackie said that her instinct is to use Snapchat because of the “pretty filters.” We kind of get where she is coming from — I mean who can deny the power of a good flower crown or puppy face?

Claudia, who has nearly 3 million followers on Instagram (@girlwithnojob), had some advice for how Instagram can reach a new level of business. She believes that once Instagram reevaluates its filter business, it will fully take over the social media world. Claudia wants Instagram to start using filters that slim your face like Snapchat.
