Irina Shayk never misses an opportunity to dress up — even for the most ordinary of outings. For a trip to the zoo, she looked like a sexy race car driver in a black nylon tracksuit that exposed her bra, and while running a few errands around the city, the model opted for chaps-style jeans with a butt zipper. And this week, a stop at school pick-up was no different.
On Friday, Shayk put on a Hugo Boss suit in Barbie pink to walk her 4-year-old daughter Lea home from school, pairing the chic separates with an unexpected shoe. Rather than going for a heeled loafer, stilettos, or even a classic ballet flat, the stylish mom chose comfort, and wore her go-to Dr. Martens lace-up boots underneath the wide-leg trousers.
She accessorized with a matching pastel pink purse, Givenchy sunglasses, and a black face mask.
While it's probably safe to assume Irina was the only mom wearing a Barbie pink suit at her daughter's school, she's alright with standing out. During a 2019 interview with Harper's Bazaar, the supermodel revealed that motherhood wouldn't influence her style one way or the other.
"You have to be really truly yourself for your kids, otherwise you're living in a lie," she told the outlet. "Tell me one reason why, just because you're a mother, you need to wear a longer skirt. No! I don't believe in that. I really don't. How is it that people think of this idea? Why should you have to change who you are and how you feel just because you become a mother? I'm like, tell me why. Tell me one reason! I don't believe in that. I don't understand why."
