Is Beyoncé’s plumped-up pout down to plastic surgery or pregnancy?

News of Beyoncé’s twin pregnancy has barely started to simmer down, but there’s another debate about the singer that’s getting the Internet in a tizz.

When the ‘Lemonade’ star shared some pictures taken over the Oscars weekend, fans couldn’t help but point out her noticeably more plump looking lips, causing some to wonder if Beyoncé had been experimenting with lip fillers.

“Where did Beyoncé get her smile line fillers, I need that doctors number,” one fan tweeted.

“Wow Beyoncé’s pregnancy lips. She gotta figure out how to keep them without getting fillers,” added another.

“We ignoring Beyoncé lip fillers?” another fan posed.

But according to a leading cosmetic doctor, the star’s plumped-up pout are more likely to be linked to her pregnancy.

“Pregnancy can, absolutely, cause swelling of the lips. It can be a genuine side effect,” Dr Nestor Demosthenous, who works at Harley Street’s PHI Clinic, told Daily Mail.

“More commonly pregnant women will retain fluid in the legs and the ankles and feet, but they can also retain it in the hands and the face.”

“It is not uncommon for women, particularly those in their second and third trimester to wake up one morning with swollen lips,” Dr Demosthenous added.

It isn’t the first time there has been speculation about Beyoncé using lip fillers. Back in 2015 a Hollywood plastic surgeon claimed to believe the singer had undergone some procedures done on her face

Dr. Anthony Youn, who has never treated the Grammy Award winning star, told Radar Online that it appeared the singer may have signs of having had botox, rhinoplasty and lip fillers.

“It appears that she’s had a rhinoplasty, causing her nose to look noticeably thinner and refined,” he speculated.

“Her upper lip also looks like it may have been moderately enhanced, possibly with a filler like Juvederm,” he continued.

But Beyoncé has always maintained that she’s never had surgery, even appearing to be anti those kind of procedures in her 2013 video for single ‘Pretty Hurts’. And of course her fuller pout could also have been down to clever make-up trickery.

While the 35-year-old hasn’t confirmed when we can expect the twins to arrive, she recently cancelled her upcoming Coachella performance in April leading some to speculate that her due date could be sooner than anticipated.
