Iskra Lawrence Just Made the Best Body-Positive Use of Instagram's New Gallery Feature

There are plenty of ways to use Instagram's new gallery feature: you could post some serious #foodporn from your most recent meal, show an entire makeup tutorial, or even share a series of images with the caption, "please tell me what happened last night; this is all I have left." But Iskra Lawrence just made the best use of it that I can come up with: body positivity. (As she said, "YASSSSS @instagram," of course.)

And if you think about it, the multiple image feature practically begs for people to get in on the social media movement that's proving pictures aren't always what they seem; rather it's all about the ~angles~ when you're posing.

"ANGLES ANGLES ANGLES!!! Now I can demonstrate in three photos taken exactly the same time in the same @aerie swim right next to each other... you can see how in the second I look less thick than the third - poses can change a lot!" the model captioned her series of photos.

This isn't the first time Lawrence has called out how the way you pose can switch up how you look either, but given her regular involvement in the body positivity movement, it's obvious she thought this was a message worth repeating.

Lawrence also used the post to also call out haters who have been criticizing her body, claiming she's lost weight. (Fun fact: you can still be a body-pos icon regardless of the number on the scale.)

"I've been reading a few of your comments saying I've lost weight and need to stop working out," she wrote. "Erm no. First off, our bodies are allowed to fluctuate, it's natural, and also no one else has the right to tell you what to do with your body. That's why it's called yours. I try to look after my body as best as I can because it's my home I love & respect it and it's the only one I got for hopefully a long time so I invest in caring for it."

She even recognized that although she loves to post photos of herself in lingerie or swimwear, that doesn't mean everyone does - and that's OK.

"I'm glad I feel completely comfortable posting photos like this with you all," she wrote. "No makeup, or retouching and in my swim - which when I think about it is kinda crazy that 3.2 million of you can see me in my swimwear and it doesn't make me feel insecure. I love posting pics celebrating this body I have and I love seeing communities online where woman and men feel free to share their pics and are doing it because THEY want to.

Finally for anyone whose not comfortable looking at these pics or posting their own photos in swimwear or lingerie I get it. It's not for everyone and no one should ever feel pressure to do it. And especially not for social validation, likes or follows. Our bodies are magical and imperfectly perfect but they do not define us and we are so much more than just the way we look."

Basically, Lawrence shared a whole lot of awesome in a single Instagram post. And I for one can't wait to see what she does next.
