Curvy model Iskra Lawrence wears revealing jumpsuit that's 'too tight to twerk' in
Funny enough, the person winning the most red carpets this awards season isn’t nominated for anything. After model and body positive advocate Iskra Lawrence made a splash at the SAG Awards in a high slit black dress, she turned it up even further for the Grammys on Sunday night in a flashy sequin jumpsuit.

The jewel-encrusted one-piece stands out in shine, but also in silhouette thanks to side cutouts and super wide legs. Lawrence shared her enthusiasm for the look in a dance video posted to Instagram. “Too tight to twerk lmao but the turn up tonight is REALLLL and my love for this glam,” she wrote. She even added a bit of extra glitter to her outfit with the KiraKira app.
Lawrence has been drawing eyes for the past few weeks thanks to some sexy looks. For last week’s SAG Awards, she chose a dress with a high slit specifically to show off her cellulite. She called the dress “daring” on Instagram, but still managed to pull off the risky look with plenty of confidence. “If you feel fire in something, wear it. If something excites you, go for it. If something makes you feel good, live it,” she explained on Instagram.

Lawrence’s work on and off the red carpet continues to cement her status as a role model. She appeared in the the newest campaign for Aerie, a brand known for its unfiltered ads featuring “real” women. As she explained to WhoWhatWear, Lawrence believes that Aerie “completely understood what I stood for as a model and my vision for moving the industry away from retouching and perpetuating unrealistic ideas of what women look like.”
She may be a role model herself, but Lawrence has a few guidelines for mentors of her own. “I think the qualities that all of my personal role models share are compassion, confidence, determination, and a strong sense of self,” she said. “Whether it has been my mum, my close friends, other models I’ve worked with, the people I am most inspired by are the ones that are unapologetically themselves and encourage me to be the best and truest version of myself.”
Hopefully Lawrence keeps snagging invites to red carpet events and shows off her style. And there’s one thing we know for sure: She’ll be confident in whatever she’s wearing.
