The live music event is confirmed to return to Seaclose Park on the weekend of 16-19 June 2022 with Kasabian, Muse, Nile Rodgers, Shaggy and Pete Tong all signed up to perform.
Capaldi, 24, and Richie, 72, had originally been billed to headline in June 2021, but pulled out of the event when it was rescheduled for September.
Kasabian have tweeted: "Very excited to announce that we’ll be headlining Saturday night @IsleOfWightFest 2022."

Craig David, UB40, Happy Mondays, The Proclaimers, Rudimental, Tom Grennan and Blossoms are also among those billed to appear over the weekend.
However, you can already buy Early Bird weekend tickets for those who don't want to miss out.
Weekend tickets are £195, with discounts for Students, Teens and Isle of Wight island residents.
Day tickets will also be available.
The terms and conditions listed on the Isle Of Wight Ticketmaster website states that ticket-holders will be entitled to a refund if the event is cancelled.
As the pandemic continues, it is worth noting that you won’t get a refund if the line-up changes, so if there’s only one act you want to see, then you might want to wait a little while before signing up.
Isle Of Wight 2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19 and the 2021 festival was delayed, eventually taking place earlier this month.
Richie and Capaldi had originally been billed to headline in June 2021, but were forced to pull out of the rescheduled event, which was instead headlined by Liam Gallagher, Snow Patrol, David Guetta and Duran Duran.
Capaldi said in March: "It is with an extremely heavy heart that I've made the difficult decision to reschedule this year's shows."
