Ivanka Trump channels Kanye West and Jay-Z in light green suit at meeting with Kim Kardashian

Ivanka Trump was joined at the White House on Wednesday for a discussion on ways to improve the clemency process by Kim Kardashian West. While the meeting’s focus was on prison reform, Trump appeared to be acknowledging Kardashian West’s passion for fashion as well, pulling outfit inspiration from the reality star’s husband.

While it seems Kardashian West found a place for herself in politics after assisting in the president’s decision to pardon Alice Marie Johnson for a nonviolent drug conviction, Kanye West may have as well — especially when it comes to the outfit choices of the White House adviser and first daughter.

In a photo posted to Instagram, Trump is wearing a mint green suit alongside Van Jones, Kardashian West, and Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner. The $735 suit from Sandro — which is currently sold separately at a total of $294 — is not unlike the Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton suit that Kanye West wore to rapper 2 Chainz’s wedding a few weeks ago.

However, West and Trump are not the only two hopping on the trend bandwagon. Rapper Jay-Z was also seen rocking a similar look in his music video for “Ape****” alongside his wife, Beyoncé. While he wore a total of six suits in the video, the green Dries Van Noten one Jay wore while standing in the Louvre in front of the Mona Lisa stood out to fans and fellow celebs alike.

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman appears to also be following suit, wearing a similar Louis Vuitton set to the British GQ Men of the Year Awards on Wednesday night.

Although people on Twitter haven’t responded kindly to Trump’s look, with one person saying she looks like “Barbie playing politics,” it’s evident that the adviser is just trying to stay on trend.
