Actress and #MeToo advocate Alyssa Milano was actually inside the packed hearing room on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., as a guest of Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and offered her take on it throughout the day.

I believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. I’m here. In this room. And I’ve never been so proud to be a woman.

Actors Busy Philipps and Sarah Hyland shared messages of support for Ford, along with their own stories of having been sexually assaulted via social media.

Other celebrities, including other women who’ve spoken publicly about having been sexually assaulted, such as Ashley Judd, Mira Sorvino, and Padma Lakshmi, and Mariska Hargitay, who regularly advocates for victims of sexual assault, weighed in on the subject, too.
