Jennifer Lopez has opened up about postponing her and fiancé Alex Rodriguez's highly anticipated summer wedding.

During an interview on the Today show, the pop star admitted that the decision to hold off on their upcoming nuptials due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic was an emotionally trying one to make. Lopez and Rodriguez were set to marry in a sure-to-be-lavish ceremony in Italy later this summer.

"There's no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out, and it's disappointing on one level," said Lopez of her wedding plans. "After the Super Bowl and after World of Dance, after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off. Which is what we're doing kind of right now, but at the same time, you know, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year. But everything's kind of on hold right now."

Lopez added that even though she is "heartbroken" over the postponed plans, she continues to have faith that the wedding of her dreams will happen at the right time and place in the future.

"I'm a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans. But I'm also like, 'You know what? God has a bigger plan.' So we just have to wait and see," added the Hustlers star. "Maybe it's going to be better. I have to believe that it will be."
